| What To Do When the Buyer
Visits When your house is being viewed by a prospective buyer, it is important to act professionally. Your objective is to present your property in its best light without making the prospects feel uncomfortable. Do not try to be friends. This is not a social visit. Don't gossip about the neighbors or offer information about the house. Do not treat the prospect or the REALTORŪ like guests. If a real estate agent has brought the prospects
by, allow the professional to conduct the tour. Leave them alone to investigate the
features of the home. This would be a good time to leave your home for a walk, or an
errand. Visit your neighbor, or go to a movie. If the prospect is viewing your home by appointment, without an agent, then you should conduct the tour. But only as an observer, to ensure the security of your possessions. |
